More than 900 children between 1 and 14 die each year in drowning accidents. In California, drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children 1-4 years of age.
But, do you really need these statistics to convince you to do everything you can to prevent this from happening to your child or grandchild?
The SafeFamilyLife™ Pool Alarm (not to be confused with the brand Poolguard™) is an electronic monitoring system that automatically sounds a 100 dB alarm when children or pets fall into your unsupervised pool. It’s portable, self-contained and light weight. The unit is simple to operate. Entry into the pool will be detected by the Pool Alarm’s electronic sensor, triggering a loud pulsating alarm at the unit and inside your house from the remote receiver.
This is not something you need just during the summer months.
Among children ages 1 to 4 years, most drownings occur in residential swimming pools. Most young children who drowned in pools were last seen in the home, had been out of sight less than five minutes, and were in the care of one or both parents at the time. The pool does not disappear when summer is over and not all pools get covered for the winter. You need the Pool Alarm year round.
The Pool Alarm installation is very easy. It sits on the pool deck as shown in picture.
After you install the SafeFamilyLife™ Pool Alarm , it can’t be de-activated; it is always in the alarm ready mode until you put it in Sleep Mode.
If someone who does not know how to put the POOL PROTECTOR in sleep mode attempts to remove the alarm, it will sound a 100 dB alarm.
The SafeFamilyLife™ Pool Alarm comes with a remote receiver which can be mounted in your home up to 300 feet from the main unit. It comes with a 12 volt power supply.
The SafeFamilyLife™ Pool Alarm uses 6 D batteries (not included) which should last approximately one year.
There is a audible low battery indicator which will sound at the poolside alarm and the remote receiver.

This is a great product and I have this installed this on my summer home in Florida. My cousins were trying to sneak into the pool and BAM they got caught by the alarm and I sent them back to bed. The only thing I don’t like about this product is that the batteries could last longer.

We use this for when the kids have been told they’re not going in the pool as a punishment, there’s no getting away from it, they go in alarm goes off, they were testing it for about half an hour, is there any way in the pool without the Pool Alarm going off.Nope!! Great device.
