The Mace® Triple Action Personal is ideal for outdoor activities including walking and running. Belt clip holds unit in place and a velcro attachment makes for quick access. This top selling personal defense product features a flip-top safety cap, fingergrip dispenser and keychain. The active ingredients in our Triple Action formula are a careful blend of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) and tear gas. The OC Pepper causes the eyes to slam shut and uncontrollable choking. The tear gas causes profuse tearing and disorientation. The combination of the two agents produces a powerful self defense spray making this pepper spray model a good choice for an everyday personal defense product. This Mace® pepper spray formula also contains UV dye to invisibly mark an assailant which may aid in identification. The 18 gram stream unit sprays 8-12 feet. Contains 10, one second bursts.
Mace® Triple Action combines OC pepper and tear gas along with an ultraviolet (UV) marking dye. The OC pepper causes the eyes to slam shut, and uncontrollable coughing and choking. Tear gas causes profuse tearing, an intense burning sensation to the face, and disorientation. UV dye marks the assailant, which can aid in identification once apprehended. OC Pepper (Oleoresin Capsicum) is a naturally occurring substance derived from cayenne peppers.
Effects: The agents and their effects are:
OC pepper: That causes the eye to slam shut and uncontrollable coughing and choking
CN TEAR GAS: causes profuse tearing, an intense burning sensation to the face and disorientation
UV Dye: marks the assailant and may aid in identification once apprehended.
Effects should lessen in approximately 45 minutes.
Safety: Strong Irritant. Keep out of reach of children. Contents under pressure. Do not puncture or incinerate. Upon exposure, follow the first aid instructions that were included with your pepper spray.
Storage: Store your Pepper Spray in cool dry area away from heat, flame or strong light. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not store it in an environment where the temperature may exceed 120 degrees F (50 degrees C) such as an enclosed vehicle. The Pepper Spray cartridge may leak from over pressurization and fail to function properly. Do not store unit in a cold environment under 32 degrees F (0 degrees C). This may cause depressurization and the loss of effective range.
Expiration: Pepper spray has a shelf life of 4 years from date of manufacture. Each pepper spray unit is labeled with an expiration date. After this date, the pepper spray cartridge should be disposed of in accordance with the environmental regulations in your area.

This spray burns immediately on contact. To see if it worked I was sprayed with a short 1/2 second shot in the face. The spray produced a dense liquid stream out to 12 feet. The stream saturated my ocular area. First thing that happened is my eyes slammed shut tightly and I could not open them. Burning pain was intense and it was hard to breathe. The entire 30 minutes I was down the tear gas kept vaporizing. This is better than regular pepper spray because the Tear Gas vaporizes so as long as you hit the attacker shoulder up you will get him. The flip top cap makes sure it is pointed away from you and the grip dispenser automatically positions it in hand. I am not a fan of the twist top sprays because they twist off and you can spray yourself with them. Not with this product. Good buy!Rating

From what I understand this is the same formula as the police model, just a different dispenser. The pepper spray can is exposed and not fully encased in the plastic grip. Great value IMO. I ordered two.. One to try out and learn how to use it with. Everyone should consider buying two pepper sprays and not just one. You need to know how to use it it and the only way to learn correctly is to waste one. . Spray it at a tree or something to learn he distance it shoots and the pressure. I rated this 5 stars because it is light weight, was accurate to about 10 feet and has a strong stream. The mace pepper spray was exactly as described.Rating
