This spray burns immediately on contact. To see if it worked I was sprayed with a short 1/2 second shot in the face. The spray produced a dense liquid stream out to 12 feet. The stream saturated my ocular area. First thing that happened is my eyes slammed shut tightly and I could not open them. Burning pain was intense and it was hard to breathe. The entire 30 minutes I was down the tear gas kept vaporizing. This is better than regular pepper spray because the Tear Gas vaporizes so as long as you hit the attacker shoulder up you will get him. The flip top cap makes sure it is pointed away from you and the grip dispenser automatically positions it in hand. I am not a fan of the twist top sprays because they twist off and you can spray yourself with them. Not with this product. Good buy! (Posted on 3/6/11)

From what I understand this is the same formula as the police model, just a different dispenser. The pepper spray can is exposed and not fully encased in the plastic grip. Great value IMO. I ordered two.. One to try out and learn how to use it with. Everyone should consider buying two pepper sprays and not just one. You need to know how to use it it and the only way to learn correctly is to waste one. . Spray it at a tree or something to learn he distance it shoots and the pressure. I rated this 5 stars because it is light weight, was accurate to about 10 feet and has a strong stream. The mace pepper spray was exactly as described. (Posted on 11/3/10)
